A friend told me about this web-site, priceline.com, where you can barter for hotels, flights etc. You basically select the area you want to stay in, and then it gives the options, you then name your price you want to pay, the site then searches all the hotels and let's you know if your bid has been successful. We discounted the price by 50% and found a awesome spots at pricy places, literraly half price.
