Fall and the Festive Season

So it's been a while, I know. It's been a busy fall and winter season. Well, actually, it's been a very busy year.

Going into fall, we got to appreciate the stunning fall colours of the Rocky Mountains. We have been having the most amazing weather, warm sunny days, even as we go well into winter.

I also managed to squeeze in a quick trip to Europe, to visit my stunning friend Adele, who just moved to Frankfurt. After lots of planning and plotting, my wonderful friend Sylvia and I managed to get our plans together, for a surprise visit to Adele. Only thing is, Adele was expecting Sylvia, but not me. After tears and smiles, I got to meet Svea for the first time. She really is a sweet, amazing baby.

Sylv's and I had a ton of fun with Marc, Del and Svea. Walking around Frankfurt, a visit to Heidelberg, Gluwein and lots of laughter.

I then went on so spend a week with my Mom and Dad in London. We had so much fun, seeing shows, going to Portobello Market, drinking and eating. I also got to catch up with Mark, Chris's best friend. What a great Trip!

November also means Thanksgiving time. I really love Thanksgiving, it means I can put up my Christmas Tree, colder weather sets in and I can cook up our Thanksgiving meal. This year we did Thanksgiving at our place. We had Iwan, Liezl, Chris and Courtney join us. After a yummy meal, we settled in with some wine, and a game on 30 seconds - "Lesleigh's Version". lol

The Christmas Lights are also a ton of fun to see and so stunning. As usual, out little Downtown Littleton, has a spectacular show of lights. Store windows are decorated, light, lights everywhere. Even our own Christmas tree is stunning.
Even though Denver has not had snow, some of the parks look stunning with the iced up lakes and winter scenery. The SAP Denver Office decided to have a smart black tie evening, with dinner, drinks, casino games and dancing. It was held the the private Sedalia Golf Estate (the owner of REMAX's very own private golf course). We had a wonderful evening, lots of laughter, Divine food and wine, and I even managed to get the hang of playing craps. Of course, December would not be complete without skiing. Chris and I headed to Breckenridge for a day of some great skiing. The mountains have been getting a ton of snow. We had the perfect powder day. The snow was so soft and fluffy, I just could not resist kicking off my ski's and making some snow angels. After a great day of skiing, Chris and I drove to Frisco for a warm lunch. Ahhhh, love it!

The BIG event of December was of course, Chris's 40TH BIRTHDAY!!!

I decided to throw Chris a 40th Birthday Party. The theme was a "Ugly Sweater" party. Everyone came dressed in their ugly sweaters and we made our famous "Seagram Chicken Curry". I also made a very special birthday cake for Chris, really putting my creative skills at work.

What a great evening, thanks everyone!

The next morning, on Chris's birthday, the 24th, the Christmas Eve birthday boy and I caught a flight to Phoenix, Arizona, for a warm and relaxing Christmas weekend at the Camelback Inn Scottsdale resort and spa. The 5 star resort met and exceeded all of our expectations.

Chris's birthday gift, a stunning Tisso watch form mwah. Soaking up the warm, sunny weather.

Stunning views and a bottle of proseco waiting for us upon arrival.

We also spent a day at the spa, enjoying the stunning pools, sauna, steam room and pampering service.

Our evenings were spent under the Arizona sky, sipping Marguerite's, eating delicious food and listening to the bands signing some good old tunes.

What a great way to spend Chris's 40th Birthday and Christmas!
